Level 2 Covid-19 Policy
It's great to be able to offer face to face counselling sessions again,
Here are the changes I have put in place to keep things running smoothly, allow for contact tracing and the plan B if you find yourself feeling unwell and want an alternative to a face to face session.
Here at Heart Story Counselling, the advantages of being small and working from home means that there are no waiting rooms, or extra spaces to work around. Your appointment is timed so that you can walk right into your session, and yet still allows me time between sessions to wipe down surfaces, spray the couches, and air the room.

Seating is spaced, and you are welcome to increase the distance if you need, and of course there is hand sanitiser available to reduce the risk of any Covid-19 transmission.
You are welcome to bring your own water-bottle, or hot drink to the session, having a drink on hand can be useful and I generally have water or a choice of hot drinks available to help you relax during the session.
For each session/person there will be short Covid-19 symptoms screening questionnaire, and if there are any Covid-19 symptoms the session will be deferred until you are 14 days symptom free. Please do not turn up to a session if you are unwell... let me know and we will consider the options available.
In addition, both yourself and anyone who comes to a session with you will be asked for contact details and in the event that someone should test positive be submitted as part of the list of people I have been in contact with the list will include all visitors i.e. friends, family and clients to protect your privacy.

I appreciate starting any counselling journey with an in-person session, or two. However, going forward If you are unwell but still want to keep a weekly appointment zoom calls can be used as an alternative to missed sessions.
